It wasn’t on purpose. I chose the date and then woke up to his announcement on twitter about two days later. At first I was put off, but truthfully it’s an honor to release my first project with someone I’ve considered to be a hero of mine for the last 9 years.

Camille Safiya - Live at the Nightingale Lounge
Got the chance to see a dope artist and good friend, Camille Safiya (pronounced SUH-FEE-YA), perform last night in the LES for the first time. She shut it down! When I say that, I mean everyone before her was cool, but struggled to completely hold everyone’s attention. However, as soon as she touched the stage you felt her presence and once she began singing, the room stayed quiet until she was done -That’s a performer!
I’ve known Camille since I was in the 2nd grade and she was in the 1st. We’ve travelled abroad together, sang together, competed together and witnessing her growth last night was an amazing full circle moment! -Also shout out to my man Adam Sarraga for managing her and helping to establish her brand. Told him whatever they were doing - keep doing it.
